Everything you need to know before, during, and after your appointment at The Dalina Way. Please review the information that applies to your service before your visit.

  • I understand that life happens and plans can change. Because appointments at The Dalina Way are reserved specifically for you, I kindly ask for as much notice as possible if you need to make a change.

    Cancellations or rescheduling within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee. No-shows and repeated last-minute changes may require a deposit or prepayment before booking future appointments.

    I’m committed to creating a welcoming, professional, and respectful environment for every client. I ask for the same kindness and respect in return. The Dalina Way reserves the right to decline or discontinue services when necessary to maintain a safe and positive salon experience.

  • Confirmation: Please review your appointment date, time, and selected services when you receive your confirmation.

    Arrival: Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you’re running late, send me a quick text so I know you’re on your way.

    Come as you are: Unless otherwise instructed for your specific service, there’s no need to prep your hair specially before your appointment.

    Inspiration: Feel free to bring photos of what you love — and even what you don’t love. We’ll talk through your goals, hair history, maintenance, and what’s realistically achievable for your hair.

    Payment: Major debit/credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted.

  • Signature Cut & Blowout: Includes a shampoo, customized haircut, and blowout. No need to arrive with freshly washed hair.

    Dusting: A maintenance trim designed to remove dry or split ends while preserving your existing shape and length. Shampoo and blowout are not included. Please arrive with clean, dry, hair.

    For a change in shape, layers, or noticeable length removal, please book the Signature Cut & Blowout.

  • 1. Come With Clean, Dry Hair
    Please wash your hair the night before or morning of your appointment. Avoid heavy oils, dry shampoo, or excessive styling products.

    2. What to Wear
    Avoid turtlenecks, hoodies, or bulky collars. A robe will be provided to protect your clothing during your service.

    3. Hair History
    Please share any previous color, lightener, keratin treatments, henna, or other chemical services—even if they were done months ago. Your hair history helps me formulate safely and realistically.

    4. Allergies & Sensitivities
    Please let me know about any known sensitivities or reactions to hair color or salon products before your service.

    5. Color Expectations
    Major color changes and corrective work may require multiple sessions. Maintaining the health and integrity of your hair always comes first.

  • 1. Use Professional, Color-Safe Haircare
    The products you use at home play a huge role in maintaining your color and the health of your hair. I carry Davines in the salon and recommend products based on your individual hair needs.

    2. Protect From Heat + Sun
    Always use heat protection before hot tools and keep excessive heat to a minimum. UV protection is also helpful when spending extended time in the sun.

    3. Wash Mindfully
    Avoid excessively hot water and overwashing. Your ideal wash schedule depends on your hair and scalp, but protecting your color doesn’t mean sacrificing scalp health.

    4. Keep Up With Maintenance
    Your maintenance schedule will depend on your color. Glosses, root appointments, and refresh services can help keep your color looking beautiful between larger appointments.

    5. Swimming
    Before swimming, thoroughly wet your hair with fresh water and apply a leave-in conditioner. Shampoo and condition afterward to remove chlorine, salt, and buildup.

  • 1. Come With Clean, Dry Hair
    Please arrive with freshly washed, completely dry hair. Avoid oils, heavy conditioners, dry shampoo, or styling products before your appointment. If additional cleansing or prep is needed, additional time and charges may apply.

    2. Your Extension Plan
    Your extension method, length, color, and amount of hair will be determined during your consultation based on your natural hair, lifestyle, desired result, and budget.

    3. Plan for Your Appointment
    Extension appointments can take several hours depending on the method and amount of hair being installed. Please plan accordingly and allow enough time for your complete service.

    4. Maintenance & Home Care
    Proper maintenance is essential to protecting both your natural hair and your investment. Your recommended maintenance schedule and at-home care will be reviewed with you based on your extension method.

    5. Hair Orders & Deposits
    Extension hair is ordered specifically for you. A deposit is required before hair is ordered and your installation appointment is secured. Hair deposits are non-refundable once the hair has been ordered.

  • 1. Washing
    Wash your hair as needed using professional, extension-safe shampoo and conditioner. Shampoo thoroughly at the scalp and between the bonds. Apply conditioner and treatments through the mid-lengths and ends, avoiding the bonds.

    2. Drying
    Gently squeeze excess water from the hair. Do not aggressively rub with a towel. Always dry the bonds completely after washing. Avoid going to bed with wet or damp extensions.

    3. Brushing
    Brush daily with an extension-safe brush, starting at the ends and working upward. Support the hair near the bonds while brushing to avoid unnecessary tension. Gently separate your bonds with your fingers regularly to prevent matting at the root.

    4. Heat + Styling
    Always use heat protection. Hot tools should never be placed directly on the keratin bonds. Keep oils, masks, and heavy styling products away from the attachment area.

    5. Sleeping
    Never sleep with wet extensions. Before bed, gently brush your hair and secure it in a loose braid or low ponytail. A silk or satin pillowcase can also help reduce friction and tangling.

    6. Maintenance
    K-tip extensions can typically be worn for several months depending on your natural hair growth, home care, and installation. Contact me if you notice excessive shedding, matting, discomfort, or anything that doesn’t feel right.

    Your extensions are an investment. Good home care protects both the extensions and your natural hair.

    • Brush daily with an extension-safe brush, starting at the ends and working upward.
    • Dry the tape tabs completely after washing—never sleep with wet extensions.
    • Always use heat protection and keep hot tools away from the adhesive tabs.
    • Sleep with your hair in a loose braid or low ponytail to prevent tangling.
    • Maintenance is typically recommended every 4–6 weeks, depending on your hair growth and installation.

  • • Wash & condition: Cleanse thoroughly and condition from the mid-lengths through ends. Avoid heavy products directly at the weft foundation.
    • Dry completely: Always fully dry your scalp, roots, and weft foundation after washing. Never sleep with wet extensions.
    • Brush daily: Use an extension-safe brush, working from the ends upward while supporting the wefts.
    • Protect from heat: Always use heat protection and avoid excessive heat near the attachment area.
    • Sleep protected: Wear your hair in a loose braid or low ponytail at night to help prevent tangling.

    Maintenance is typically recommended every 6–8 weeks, depending on your hair growth and installation.

  • Your appointment is your time. Settle in, get comfortable, and make yourself at home.

    Drinks + Snacks: Help yourself to coffee, beverages, and snacks during your appointment.

    Need to work? WiFi is available if you need to answer emails, take care of work, or just zone out on your phone.

    Quiet appointments are always welcome. There’s never any pressure to chat. If you’d rather relax, work, read, or enjoy some quiet time, please do.

    And yes, there’s a salon pup. 🐾 Peach, my senior French Bulldog, is often at the salon with me. She’ll most likely say hello, then spend the rest of your appointment sleeping and snoring nearby.
